“A party! Let’s have a party.” -Margaret Sanger, American Social Reformer and Writer

Alcohol makes young people really dumb, money makes young people really dumb, military training makes young people really dumb. When you combine alcohol, money, and military training in a place where you are surrounded by many drunk people and beautiful women who are also drinking causes a ton of problems.

This weekend, I almost got into a fight with drunk, arrogant, idiotic punk-ass soldier who wanted a group of girls who absolutely did not want anything to do with him. Also, by I almost got into a fight with him, I mean Isabella, my fiery friend who has never backed down from anyone almost kicked his ass and I was ready to help. I joke but seriously, my entire goal was to move the guy away from us without causing a scene but apparently she thought I was not being direct enough.

He pushed his way through many people to follow these girls. We saw what was going on and they moved around us to put us between him and them. After that, he tried to move around us and what I did was just keep my back to him and “accidentally” dance in a circle around the girls while keeping him separated. He danced a little bit trying to match my casual-ness while getting through me but after a while, he resorting to just pushing me to the side but since I wasn’t drinking, I was able to continue moving with him and fight back from his push that annoyed him and that’s when we met his “friend.” Funny story, his “friend” turned out to be what we have decided is a hired bodyguard to take care of him.

Isabella was a champion where I was working to try and get him to move on without confrontation, she had enough of it basically from the beginning and drove him away, with her sharp tongue, mother-like care and her ability to destroy someone in five different ways. She got him away and he disappeared for over an hour and it was fantastic but finally, he came back but now he was only barely into the three girls we were now with and was totally into Isabella.

However, of course, because that the way things go it wasn’t as simple as that as he eventually got rowdy again and had to be dealt with for the last time. It took more of a direct confrontation between all of us and the guy and his friend. During that, someone found a bouncer and brought them over. It was finally over and we were happy. Dancing and drinks went all around and we ended up staying there until about 4 am.

After that, Doner Kebab in the Altstadt and a thirty-minute walk home was a simple but nice end to the evening. It was fun, a little crazy, a bit dumb but it was a great time overall.
